Bangkok 2017 - 72 Courtyard
Opposite The Commons is another new lifestyle mall called 72 Courtyard. It is a much smaller development - and while we were there around lunchtime most of the outlets were closed. It seems like this is more of a nightspot.
The design is quite cutting edge - with bare concrete walls and floor to ceiling glass blocks on some of the elevations. Like The Commons - lots of space has been devoted to communal areas. The 1st-floor courtyard is especially nice with a lush garden.
At 72 Courtyard you will find a collection of upscale eateries and pubs with creative names - Lady Brett (a European style grill), Touche Hombre (a Mexican Tavern originating from downunder), Toro (modern Tapas place originating from USA), Little Bao (famous bao shop by chef May Chow from Hong Kong), UNCLE (a speakeasy lounge), Evil Man Blues ( a cocktail lounge with hip-hop and R&B music, etc. Be sure to bring a big wallet.
