Singapore - Jones the Grocer at Dempsey Hill

Jones the Grocer originates from Australia and carries a large range of house-branded products as well as other imported gourmet products. There is quite a large dining area for casual meals. They also sell cookbooks.
While I was there, the place was quite full with lots of families enjoying their breakfast. The deli culture is fast catching on in this part of the world, due to quite a large expat population as well as the well-travelled locals who have expanded their palate beyond laksa and noodles. Ham and sausage breakfast seems to be the order of the day.

It's so spacious and airy - not like the cramped hawker centres at all! Almost makes you think you're not in S'pore.

Hi. Dempsey Hill really feels like it's in a different place. Lots of open space, not too sanitized. Jones the Grocer is one of the nicest gourmet shops in this part of the world.
