Shenzhen & Dongguang 2010 - Lunch at Dameisha

Since Dameisha is a resort town, there are lots of dining options here - from Western to Japanese, Italian, fast food and of course - Chinese food. After walking around the town for half a morning, we were looking for a place for lunch and came across this Hong Kong Style restaurant near Sheraton Dameisha. We decided to give it a try.

When the Chinese try to do certain things well, they can go a bit overboard. The tableware at this restautant has been sanitized and plastic-wrapped !

Here's what we had - Porridge with Frog Legs, Seaweed and Peanuts. A very light and satisfying dish - beautifully done.

Stir-fried Pipis with Black Beans, Ginger, Scallion and Chili.

Braised Tofu with Mushroom and Pork.

Stir-fried Frog Legs with Ginger, Scallion, Green Pepper and Chili.

A local vegie simply wok-fried with garlic. It has similar texture to spinach.

I think you can tell from the pictures that the food here is pretty good. Nice fresh ingredients prepared simply but with great skill - this is what great food is about.
