Adelaide 2010 - SA Water House
SA Water House is one of the latest office buildings to be completed in Adelaide. It is also the first building in South Australia to achieve a 6 star rating from the Green Building Council of Australia. The building was developed by the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide which owns the land, and is occupied by SA Water – the Adelaide water utilities company. The design was by Australian architecture firm Hassel.
The building sits on a very prominent site next to the Victoria Square - the heart of Adelaide.
Externally the building is very impressive with its extensive use of glass. The multi-coloured horizontal bands of glass on the double-skin wall is quite striking.
The interior is just as impressive. This is definitely a first grade office environment. I want to work here !
