Beijing 2018 - Vue Hotel at Houhai Park

Nestled in the Houhai area is a very unique hospitality gem – Vue Hotel. This hotel comprise of a series of old buildings from the 1950s, which have been transformed into modern upscale boutique accommodations. The buildings have been given a dark grey painted exterior – with gold accents on some of the roof ridges and eaves. The effect is somewhat Japanese more then Chinese. This makeover was designed by Ministry of Design from Singapore.

On-the-whole the design may look austere and minimal, but here and there quirky motifs and decorations punctuate the overall visual presentation which is never short of interesting.

At the main entrance of the hotel is a Café – aptly called Fab Café as the design is quite fabulous. Here you can enjoy good coffee and some nice cakes.
