Beijing 2018 - Around the Confucius Temple

The area around Confucius Temple has become a trendy lifestyle hub in Beijing. Along Guozijian Street which fronts the temple, there are many trendy bookshops, fashion boutiques, furniture and lifestyle shops. These are some of my interesting finds there.

Lost & Found is a very trendy fashion and furniture shop with many well-curated pieces.

Opposite Lost & Found is another furniture shop. Everything in this shop is beautifully designed and made.

Parallel to Guizijiang Street behind the Temple is the Wudaoying Hutong, a very hip district full of pubs, cafes and shops. Here the commercial mix is more International – there are quite a number of Western-themed bars, vegetarian restaurants and even a Greek restaurant.

These monks seem to be having a relaxing time on the street.
