Kuala Lumpur 2011 - CNY Decor at The Pavilion

For the past few years, The Pavilion has been putting up some of the best festive decorations in Kuala Lumpur. I was eager to see what they have come up with for Chinese New Year this year, and I wasn’t disappointed. As you arrive at the Bukit Bintang entrance, you are greeted with a festive archway decorated with bright pink plum blossoms. On the side are 2 cute mascots signifying the Zodiac sign for next year - The Rabbit.

As you approach the lobby, you will be awed by the gigantic Lion Head display. This is easily the biggest lion head I have ever seen, and it is beautifully made. It was augmented by several smaller lions on the side.

The main atrium has been decorated with hundreds of lanterns hanging right from the top.

Plum blossom trees (fake ones of course) line the sidewalks outside the shopping mall.

If you are in KL now, don't miss the CNY decor at The Pavilion. There are also lots of festive events organized every weekend. Check the programmes.
