Kuala Lumpur 2018 - Zhongshan Building

The Zhongshan Building in Kampung Attap - near Chinatown, once housed the Zhongshan Association. The building later became a lodging house for foreign workers - until Entrepreneur Rob Tan inherited it from his grandmother and decided to convert it into something more interesting. Luckily for the creatives in KL - it was eventually turned into an arts and creative space with the help of Think City.

Zhongzhan Building now has an interesting mix of tenants - including art gallery Our Art Projects, print studio A Good Reason, Piu Piu Piu Cafe, Naiise KL gift shop, and several small book shops. It's a great place to visit if you are into art, design and books.

At the centre of the building is a small atrium courtyard. Here you can enjoy some quiet time with coffee and the sandwiches from Tommy Le Baker.

One of the main tenants on the ground floor - Naiise, has a great collection of designer gift items and stationery.
