Bangkok 2011 - The 49 Terrace
The 49 Terrace is a small shopping centre in the shopping district of Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok. The tropical open design is very well conceived, with shops wrapping around a central courtyard space that is well shaded, visually interesting and offers a pleasant outdoor shopping environment. The staircases that connect the different floors are very cleverly placed to provide visual interest as shoppers move through the complex.
The layout of the circulation was very cleverly done, creating a sense of drama and interest in a relatively small space.
