Vienna 2016 - Hundertwasser Village

The Hundertwasserhaus was very popular and getting lots of visitors - and to relieve the residents from the invasion of hoards of tourists a small shopping arcade - the Hundertwasser Village was built opposite the apartment block. Also designed by Hundertwasser - the building was converted from an old car tyre factory. Inside is a delightful medley of small shops and cafes - with a central open bar taking centre-stage.

The details and craftsmanship are quite beguiling.
