Hamburg 2016 - Alte Post

One of the most interesting retail spaces in Hamburg is the Abercrombie & Fitch Store on Poststraase. It occupies about half of the Alte Post building - an 1840s building built after the Great Fire of 1842 which combined several of the post offices in the city into one building. The design of the building was modeled after the Italian Renaissance - with elegant details and handsome proportions. One of the main features is the clock tower at the South-East corner of the building.

The store make great use of the internal spaces which are adorned with vaulted ceilings.
