Bali 2010 - Komaneka at Bisma

Komaneka at Bisma is located at the end of Jalan Bisma which is off Jalan Raya Ubud - the main road in Ubud. It is situated in a small village surrounded by rice fields. Bisma is the most modern in terms of architecture among the 3 Komanekas in Ubud. The lobby is perched at the top of a valley, providing great views of the surrounding landscape and rice fields. From here you descend through several levels of facilities including cafes, gyms, restaurants - before arriving at the pool level. There are 2 main pools, one at an upper deck for the bigger guests and a smaller c-shaped pool at the lower deck for the smaller ones.

The main reception building.

View from the reception building - the main pool is right next to working rice fields.

Unlike Tanggayuda or Monkey Forest Road, the Bisma rooms are all in a 4-storey main block. As a result the rooms are a bit more standard in configuration.

Afternoon tea is served at the poolside pavilions.

You can also watch Balinese craftsmen at work.

Or learn to make beautiful Balinese offerings.

Among the 3 Komanekas, Bisma is definitely the most child friendly with the standard room configuration and the children’s pool. The facilities are also closer together and more convenient for the younger ones.

Bisma also has a spa village with single or couple’s villas. Some of the spa villas look into the Campuhan River providing a great retreat amongst nature while you enjoy your spa treatments.
