Bali 2014 - Dinner at Ultimo Italian Restaurant

There are no lack of places to eat in Seminyak - but Ultimo Italian Restaurant has built quite a reputation together with its sister restaurant Rumors on Jalan Kayu Aya. The 2 restaurants are just minutes apart on the road. 

We went early for dinner and the place was already quite full. Guests who came a bit later had to go on a waiting list. This place is that popular.

The menu has a large selection of classic Italian dishes. We ordered 2 pastas, a pizza and a chicken dish to share. Both the Spaghetti Bolognese and the Fettuccine Carbonara were very good, though the presentation was a little sloppy.

The Pollo Arrosto - roasted chicken with herbed tomato served with broccoli risotto, was another great dish - with tender chicken breast, great flavours from the tomato salsa, and very food risotto.

We ordered the 4 Stagioni Pizza - expecting it to come with 4 different toppings - instead, it was a pizza with Mozzarella, mushrooms, artichoke, olives and ham. Normally the ingredients would be placed separately on the 4 quarters of the pizza. It was a good pizza so we did not complain.

Ultimo is a great place to go when you get tired of Indonesian food. The food is consistently good, and the prices are quite reasonable.
