Budapest 2016 - New York Cafe

Budapest has many beautiful cafes but probably the most beautiful would be the New York Cafe. Accordingly to A View on Cities - cafes were very popular in Budapest at the end of 19th Century and at one point there were more then 500 of them in the City. Paris Cafe is in the New York Palace - a building built in late 18th Century for the New York Insurance Company.

 

The cafe occupies 2 floors at the corner of the building. It has a lavish interior that is richly decorated with spiral columns and chandeliers and beautiful ornamental wall panels.
