Bangkok 2011 - K Village Shopping Centre
Another small neighbourhood shopping centre in Sukhumvit, this is also based on a tropical outdoor concept. K Village is much bigger then The 49 Terrace, with shops wrapping around 2 main courtyards. Conceptually impressive, however in execution it is less successful compared to The 49 Terrace - due to its bigger size, it doesn't have the same small and intimate feel. Still it is much more original and interesting then the typical big-box indoor mall.

Bangkokians are so lucky compared to us down in Malaysia. They have a lot more interesting and imaginative shopping options, whereas in Malaysia we tend to get the shophouses or the big-box shopping malls with not much in between.
