Kuching Cafes 2015 - Cupella Cafe & Bar

One of the cafe pioneers in Kuching is Cupella Cafe & Bar which started around 2 years ago in 2013. It is also one of the most photogenic - with a simple yet attractive design and cute graphics on the walls. This is a cafe designed for the selfie crowd.

Located at Song Plaza which is at the corner of Jalan Song and Jalan Tun Jugah, Cupella doesn't really have a great frontage and you won't notice it unless you know where it is. It is also open only at night, and the hours are quite erratic as I have been there a few times and it was closed for no apparent reason.

The cute graphics on the walls are great for selfies.

It is a cafe and bar which serves both coffee and beer, but they don't serve any food and the cakes and desserts are very limited. The coffee is good, but not great. The cinnamon cookie served on the side is a good touch though. 

Cupella is a beautiful cafe that deserve to be more popular. When I was there it was completely empty and I was the only customer. Hopefully they will not become another victim in the rocky Kuching F&B scene.
