Rome 2013 - The Spanish Steps

The Spanish Steps is another must-see sight in the North-Eastern side of Rome and it is very near the Trevi Fountain. The steep steps connect Piazza di Spagna at the based to Piazza Trinità dei Monti, where the Trinita dei Monti church sits. Like the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps is full of people at any time of the day.

Locals and tourists alike like to hang out here, sitting on the steps enjoying the sun and the great views.

At the centre of Piazza di Spagna is a boat-shaped fountain where many young kids use it as an opportunity to cool down.

The steps look straight into Via Condotti, one of the main shopping streets in Rome.
